Role Overview:
This role provides risk, control and assurance support across corporate HR change initiatives, including HR technology-enabled change, with a particular focus on managing HR and employment legal risks and strengthening governance.
This role supports a large-scale Talent Acquisition change programme focused on modernising processes, controls and operating models, supported by enabling technology including Workday Recruiting optimisation, AI-enabled capabilities and digital automation.
Delivery is organised around a product- and squad-based model, with work structured across multiple interdependent workstreams. The successful candidate will help ensure risks are identified early, governance is applied consistently and stakeholders have clear assurance that changes remain compliant, controlled and fit for purpose.
The work involves close collaboration with Talent Acquisition leaders, HR stakeholders, Employee Relations, Legal and Compliance teams, HR Technology and IT delivery teams and external vendors. The role requires strong judgement, pragmatic control design and the ability to balance pace, quality, risk and enterprise governance within a fast-moving delivery environment.
While functional Talent Acquisition knowledge is beneficial, this role requires experience operating as a risk and controls partner across HR change environments. The focus of the role is on risk management and assurance rather than hands-on configuration or engineering.
What you will do:
Identify, assess and document key HR and employment legal risks across programmes and business-as-usual change initiatives.
Design and support proportionate controls, governance and assurance activities including risk registers, control testing support, decision papers and sign-off activities.
Advise stakeholders on policy, regulatory and third-party or vendor risk considerations.
Partner with HR Technology, IT delivery teams and vendors to embed risk and control requirements into change delivery activities.
Support the assessment and mitigation of people data, privacy and control risks arising from HR systems, integrations, automation and AI-enabled features.
Support governance activities across multiple agile squads and workstreams.
Contribute to maintaining compliant, controlled and fit-for-purpose HR technology delivery outcomes.
What you will have:
Corporate risk management, controls, audit, compliance or assurance experience.
Experience managing HR and/or employment legal risks within a corporate environment.
Experience supporting governance across complex, multi-stakeholder transformation programmes.
Comfortable working with agile delivery squads, IT delivery teams and third-party vendors.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capability.
Ability to balance pace, quality, governance and risk within fast-moving delivery environments.
Experience supporting HR change, policy or process governance initiatives.
