Role Overview

This role sits within a major global Payroll transformation programme. You will play a central part in defining payroll requirements, mapping end‑to‑end processes, and supporting the implementation of a new payroll platform with a new payroll provider. The role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills with direct experience of payroll system change and the ability to work confidently across global and local teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements capture and definition for assigned payroll workstreams, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with programme objectives.
  • Work directly with payroll SMEs, HR, Finance, and Technology teams to document current‑state and future‑state processes.
  • Produce high‑quality process maps, user stories, functional requirements, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the implementation of a new payroll platform, including vendor engagement, design workshops, data requirements, and integration considerations.
  • Partner with global and local market teams to balance global standardisation with local statutory, regulatory, and operational needs.
  • Contribute to testing cycles, payroll parallel runs, change impact assessments, and readiness activities across multiple markets.
  • Collaborate with programme leadership to ensure risks, issues, and dependencies are clearly understood and managed.

About You

  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with direct experience working on payroll transformation or payroll system implementation.
  • Hands‑on experience defining and capturing payroll requirements and working with a new payroll provider/platform.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance considerations, and the end‑to‑end payroll lifecycle.
  • Skilled in requirements capture, requirements definition, and process mapping, with a track record of producing high‑quality artefacts.
  • Experience supporting global technology rollouts across multiple markets, including managing the tension between global process design and local market localisation needs.
  • Comfortable leading your own area of scope while working collaboratively within a wider programme team.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence across HR, Finance, Technology, and local market teams.
