Experience :Minimum of 10+ years overall IT experience
8+ years hands-on experience with Markit EDM

Location: London

Contract inside IR 35/ Fixed term contract until Dec 2026

Hybrid working with 3 days onsite mandatory at client office

Role Summary

The Senior Markit EDM Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Markit EDM solutions across Market & Reference Data domains. The role requires strong hands-on development skills, deep understanding of EDM data models, integration patterns, and close collaboration with Business Analysts and downstream consumers.

Key Responsibilities

Markit EDM Development

• Design, develop, and enhance Markit EDM workflows, rules, jobs, and data models
• Configure and customize EDM components such as:
  • Security Master
  • Pricing & Benchmark data
  • Reference Data / Classification
  • External Matchers
• Implement data quality rules, validations, enrichment, and exception handling

Data Integration & Feeds

• Develop and maintain inbound and outbound feeds using:
  • XML, CSV, FIX, API-based integrations
• Integrate EDM with upstream/downstream systems (IBOR, Risk, Valuation, Reporting platforms)
• Handle vendor feeds (market data, pricing vendors, benchmark providers)

Production Support & BAU

• Perform BAU support, incident analysis, and root cause resolution
• Support release deployments, regression testing, and post-production validation
• Handle data issues, reconciliation breaks, and SLA-bound fixes

Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with Business Analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in impact analysis, design reviews, and change assessments
• Contribute to documentation (technical design, runbooks, support guides)

Mentoring / Lead Support

• Guide junior developers and reviewers
