User Researcher at SCC, Manchester, 5 Months, £400 per day

User Researcher - SC eligible - £400/day via Umbrella - 5 Month Contract - Manchester (Hybrid) - SCC Flex Contract

We are seeking an experienced User Researcher to support a large-scale programme and to influence service design, product priorities, and user outcomes through evidence-based research.

Your responsibilities as the User Researcher:

• Conduct user research with stakeholders and end users to understand needs and service demand.
• Identify barriers, pain points, and opportunities for service improvement.
• Assess accessibility, inclusivity, and potential user exclusion risks.
• Gather evidence to support prioritisation and delivery decisions.
• Translate research findings into practical recommendations for teams and stakeholders.

As a successful User Researcher, you will have:

• Proven experience as a User Researcher within public sector or large-scale service environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• Ability to independently plan and deliver research activities.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary agile teams.
• Confidence challenging assumptions through evidence-based research.
• Ability to communicate actionable insights to delivery teams.
