Location: Sunbury (Remote, with monthly Sunbury travel and potential occasional overseas travel)

Contract: 12-months with possible extension

Position Summary

We are seeking an IT Systems Discovery Analysts to support a global divestiture and separation program within an industrial lubricants business.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager within the Infrastructure Workstream, these roles will focus exclusively on the discovery, documentation, and validation activities required to support buyer due diligence and achieve Day 1 operational readiness.

The analysts will work closely with manufacturing plants, laboratories, business teams, infrastructure teams, and application owners to identify and document the technology landscape supporting the divesting business. The outputs will form the foundation for separation planning, Transitional Service Agreements (TSAs), Day 1 readiness assessments, and buyer due diligence activities.

These positions are discovery-focused and are not expected to lead migration, deployment, or cutover execution activities. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the program has an accurate, comprehensive, and validated understanding of the technology estate and operational dependencies required for separation planning and Day 1 operations.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Discovery & Inventory Management

• Conduct structured discovery workshops and interviews with business, manufacturing, laboratory, and IT stakeholders.
• Identify and document all applications, infrastructure services, operational technology systems, interfaces, and supporting services used by the divesting business.
• Build and maintain inventories of:
• Business applications
• ERP systems
• Operational Technology environments
• Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Quality Management Systems
• Supply Chain and Warehouse Management Systems
• Infrastructure and hosting services
• Third-party applications and services
• Validate information with technical and business stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Dependency Analysis

• Document infrastructure-to-application and business process dependencies.
• Identify shared services, shared infrastructure, and cross-business integrations.
• Create and maintain interface inventories and data flow mappings.
• Support the identification of critical Day 1 operational dependencies.

Due Diligence & Separation Documentation

• Prepare and maintain documentation required for buyer due diligence activities.
• Support the delivery of technology information into transaction data rooms.
• Produce clear and accurate documentation suitable for review by external buyers, advisors, and transaction teams.
• Support responses to information requests from M&A stakeholders and functional workstreams.

Day 1 Readiness Support

• Contribute to assessments of systems and services required for Day 1 operations.
• Assist in identifying separation requirements, risks, constraints, and assumptions.
• Support the development of Day 1 readiness documentation and operational dependency assessments.
• Identify applications, infrastructure services, and operational processes that require continued support through TSAs.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with local site teams, laboratory personnel, application owners, infrastructure teams, and business subject matter experts.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and document findings in a structured and consistent manner.
• Escalate gaps, risks, and unresolved dependencies to the Senior Project Manager.
• Collaborate with other Discovery Analysts to ensure consistency across regions, sites, and functions.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 3–7 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, infrastructure discovery, or technology transformation programs.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and validating technical and business information.
• Experience working within enterprise IT environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale technology change, infrastructure, or transformation initiatives preferred.
• Experience within manufacturing, chemicals, industrial products, process industries, or industrial lubricants environments is advantageous.

• Enable the Infrastructure Workstream to achieve Day 1 readiness objectives through high-quality, timely discovery and documentation.

Team Structure

The six IT Systems Discovery Analysts will operate as a scalable discovery team supporting the Infrastructure Workstream. Depending on transaction scope, analysts may be aligned by:

Collectively, the team will provide the technology and operational discovery foundation required to support buyer diligence, separation planning, TSA development, and Day 1 readiness.
