Senior Product Analyst / Data Scientist
Location: West London
Working pattern: Hybrid — three days onsite and two days remote
Contract type: 6 month fixed-term contract (extension possible)
Rate: £150-£250 per day (outside IR35)
Hours: Full-time (4-5 days)
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Analyst to join our consulting team on a six-month fixed-term contract.
You will work across client engagements, using product data, experimentation and statistical methods to answer complex commercial questions. The role requires someone who can move confidently between product, marketing and technical teams, turning ambiguous business problems into robust analysis and practical recommendations.
You will be expected to manage analytical work independently, communicate directly with clients and deliver high-quality outputs within consulting deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Lead product and marketing analysis across multiple client engagements.
- Translate client objectives and commercial questions into structured analytical plans.
- Design, implement and analyse A/B tests and other controlled experiments.
- Apply causal-inference methods to measure the impact of product, marketing and operational initiatives.
- Analyse customer journeys, product usage, conversion, retention and engagement.
- Define KPIs, success metrics and measurement frameworks.
- Build and analyse complex datasets using SQL and Python.
- Produce clear dashboards, reports and client-ready presentations.
- Identify data-quality and tracking issues and recommend practical improvements.
- Manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work within agreed timelines.
- Use Claude and agentic AI systems to improve analytical workflows, research, documentation and delivery.
Essential experience and skills
- A degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative discipline.
- 7+ years of professional experience in analytics, data science, data engineering or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of experience designing, running and analysing A/B tests.
- 3+ years of experience in product or marketing analytics
- Strong statistical knowledge, particularly in causal inference, experimental design and hypothesis testing.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large or complex datasets.
- Strong Python skills for data analysis, statistical modelling and automation.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain complex analytical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Practical knowledge of Claude, agentic systems and AI-assisted analytical workflows.
- Ability to work independently across multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Ability to work onsite 2 to 3 days per week (Hammersmith / High Street Kensington)
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform or another cloud environment.
- Experience developing, deploying or evaluating machine-learning models.
- Experience working with technology, SaaS or digital-product clients.
- Familiarity with product analytics, experimentation and visualisation platforms.
- Previous experience mentoring analysts or reviewing analytical work.
