Sage 50/Coretime to Sage Intacct Transformation

Mosaic Island is seeking an experienced Finance Systems Migration Specialist to support the migration from our current Sage 50 and Coretime environment to a modern cloud-based finance and project accounting platform centred on Sage Intacct.

This is a hands-on transformation role requiring strong finance systems, integration, data migration, and professional services operational expertise.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and external implementation partners to help design, deliver, and stabilise the new operating model.

- Coretime timesheet and project accounting platform

- Hosted infrastructure environment

- Spreadsheet-based reporting and reconciliation processes

- Multiple manual operational integrations and external portals

We are undertaking a strategic finance systems transformation to:

- modernise the finance and project accounting platform

- improve reporting and operational insight

- reduce operational and vendor dependency risk

- streamline billing, utilisation, and revenue processes

- improve automation and integration capability

Role Overview

The Contract Systems Migration Specialist will play a key role in the planning, design, migration, integration, and operational transition activities associated with the programme.

The role requires someone who combines:

- strong finance systems expertise

- professional services/project accounting understanding

- data migration capability

- systems integration experience

- and pragmatic delivery leadership

This is not a purely technical migration role. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating across finance, operational process, reporting, and technology domains.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Systems Migration

- Support migration from Sage 50 and Coretime to Sage Intacct and associated platforms

- Analyse current finance and operational processes

- Support target operating model definition

- Assist with chart of accounts and dimensional redesign

- Support migration strategy and cutover planning

Data Migration & Reconciliation

- Extract, analyse, cleanse, and validate finance and operational data

- Support migration of:

- chart of accounts

- customers and suppliers

- projects

- WIP

- time and expense data

- open transactions

- historic balances and reporting structures

- Perform reconciliation and migration validation activities

- Support auditability and financial control requirements

Integration & Automation

- Support integration design and implementation across:

- payroll systems

- banking and reconciliation processes

- expense management

- reporting platforms

- HMRC/VAT submissions

- project and time management tooling

- Work with APIs, CSV workflows, middleware, or automation tooling as appropriate

Reporting & Operational Insight

- Support development of:

- project profitability reporting

- utilisation reporting

- revenue forecasting

- WIP reporting

- management dashboards

- Reduce spreadsheet dependency and manual reconciliations

Delivery & Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with:

- Finance Director

- IT leadership

- operational stakeholders

- external implementation partners

- Support workshops, requirements gathering, testing, training, and go-live activities

- Provide pragmatic advice and challenge where appropriate

Required Experience

Essential

- Proven delivery experience with Sage Intacct implementations or migrations

- Strong understanding of finance processes and accounting principles

- Experience migrating from Legacy SME finance systems (eg Sage 50)

- Strong understanding of professional services or project-based businesses

- Experience with:

- time recording systems

- project accounting

- WIP and revenue recognition

- utilisation and billing models

- Strong data migration and reconciliation experience

- Experience designing or supporting systems integrations

- Strong stakeholder communication skills

- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving SME environment

Desirable

- Experience with Coretime

- Experience with Power BI or finance reporting tooling

- Experience in consultancy or technology services organisations

- Experience supporting finance transformation programmes

Contract: Outside IR35 preferred (subject to assessment)
