The Job:

This role sits within a newly formed team - AI team - which is responsible for leveraging AI. You will implement, build and deploy Back End systems to automate the analysis of data, code, documentation and Jira, and structure the extracted knowledge in a Credit Risk Domain aware knowledge graph.

Job Description:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Machine Learning and AI solutions across Credit Risk and Customer Analytics domains.
  • Build and deploy backend AI systems to automate analysis of structured and unstructured data (data, code, documentation, Jira).
  • Design and maintain Credit Risk domain-aware knowledge graphs to enable intelligent decisioning and insight discovery.
  • Own end-to-end ML lifecycle: problem framing, feature engineering, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Contribute to and influence system architecture, ensuring reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Risk, Product, and DevOps.
  • Mentor, manage, and scale multiple analytics teams, enabling them to reach advanced technical and delivery maturity.
  • Drive adoption of best-of-breed ML techniques, especially in Credit Risk modelling and Customer Analytics.
  • Present complex analytical concepts clearly and persuasively to senior leadership and C-level stakeholders, effectively selling data-driven ideas.
  • Champion clean, maintainable, production-grade code and engineering best practices.

What we ll need from you

  • 15 20+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise-scale data science and software delivery.
  • Advanced Python expertise with strong proficiency in FastAPI for Back End services.
  • Hands-on coder with advanced skills in Python, PySpark, SQL.
  • Deep understanding of software design principles, architectural patterns, and scalable system design.
  • Experience across the full software lifecycle: design, implementation, deployment, and production support.
  • Strong background in containerized deployments (Kubernetes, OpenShift, or equivalent).
  • Proven expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms; AWS, SAS, and GCP certifications preferred.
  • Proven ability to contribute to architecture and design decisions for new and existing platforms.
  • Experience with complex data pipelines and large-scale data processing systems.
