What you’ll be doing
As a Strategic Product Analyst on a 3-month contract, you'll be the vital bridge between business objectives and technical delivery. You will act as an informal Product Owner, representing the client's voice to ensure our solutions are a joy to interact with - grounding strategic ambition in commercial rigour and real-world feasibility.
- Commercial Strategy & Prioritisation: Grounding discovery work in revenue outcomes - assessing e-commerce capabilities, identifying high-value opportunities, and developing ROI-based frameworks to determine where to focus effort first.
- Discovery & Insight: Running workshops and collaborative sessions to surface business needs, map jobs-to-be-done, and define the value exchange between user needs and commercial goals.
- Feasibility & Audit: Sense-checking proposed solutions against existing technical capabilities, identifying gaps or dependencies, and ensuring strategic ambition is matched by delivery reality.
- Backlog & Roadmap Development: Translating discovery outputs into structured, prioritised backlogs with incremental delivery slices, and building phased implementation roadmaps with a clear business case for each stage.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Acting as a connective thread across business, technical, and design teams - facilitating workshops, driving decisions, and maintaining momentum across workstreams.
What experience you need to be successful
We’re looking for a seasoned strategist who can move seamlessly from high-level vision to a granular, prioritised product backlog.
- Product Ownership in practice: You've operated as a Product Owner or senior analyst on complex digital programmes, comfortable holding the space between stakeholders and delivery teams without needing a formal title to do it.
- Commercial acumen: You understand how digital products make money. Whether that's conversion optimisation, revenue modelling, or ROI-based prioritisation and you know how to keep that lens applied throughout discovery.
- Structured discovery: You're experienced in turning ambiguous briefs into clear, actionable insights, mapping user needs to business outcomes and identifying where the greatest commercial opportunity lies.
- Agile fluency: You're comfortable shaping and prioritising backlogs, writing user stories, and slicing work into meaningful increments that deliver value early and often.
- Workshop facilitation: You've designed and led working sessions with senior stakeholders, able to build consensus, surface the right conversations, and leave the room with clear decisions and next steps.
- Communication & artefact creation: You produce clean, compelling artefacts; roadmaps, prioritisation frameworks, business cases - that land equally well with a C-Suite audience as they do with a delivery team.
