Job Title: UX Researcher
Location: Remote (with occasional travel required to the London Paddington office as needed)
Job Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver in-house user testing projects (face-to-face or online), including setup, recruitment, moderation, data collection, analysis, and debrief. Collaborate with external agencies to support recruitment.
- Act as a UX research authority, advising on the most effective tools and methodologies to address business challenges.
- Manage end-to-end onsite website survey projects (scripting, analysis, debrief) and analyze real user behavior to generate optimization ideas and support discovery research.
- Partner with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and copywriters to ensure best-in-class user experiences across web and app platforms. Share findings and ensure insights are actionable.
- Champion the customer voice across Digital, ensuring product roadmaps, optimization backlogs, and strategic goals reflect customer priorities.
- Deliver research and insight presentations to diverse stakeholders (Directors, Product Managers, UX/UI, Copywriters, Analysts, etc.), providing clear recommendations.
- Ensure insights lead to tangible actions that drive improvements.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
- Proven expertise in managing qualitative and quantitative research projects from planning through delivery, ensuring methodological rigor.
- Skilled in conducting and moderating qualitative interviews independently.
- Strong ability to analyze large quantitative datasets and perform text analytics.
- Capable of synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to translate insights into clear commercial opportunities or risks.
- Strong relationship-building skills, able to influence stakeholders and drive data-informed decisions.
- Persuasive communicator, effective at influencing senior stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, especially in fast-paced or regulated environments.
- Collaborative team player, contributing to the success of the User Research Team and wider Digital department.
- Innovative thinker, adept at problem-solving and approaching challenges creatively.
- Comfortable challenging the status quo, working in iterative/agile environments, and embracing a “fail fast, learn quickly” mindset.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with remote user research platforms
- Confident working with designers, developers, analysts, and Product Managers with minimal supervision.
- Ability to create prototypes using tools such as InVision or Figma.
