Deloitte : Working with the Deloitte Associate (Contractor) Programme means we can offer you the opportunity to work on a variation of industry and client related projects. Our aim is to retain the best talent and so when your project end date nears our team of Talent Community Advisors will be working with you to look at alternative projects within the firm that suit your experience should you wish to continue with Deloitte.

About the Project

We are seeking a seasoned Transition Workstream Lead to spearhead a critical workstream as part of an HR Transformation implementation. This is not a steady-state role; we need a battle-tested Implementation Lead who thrives in high-pressure environments and has a proven track record of rescuing or driving difficult, large-scale HR transformations.

The successful candidate will be the architect of the transition, working strictly within the Deloitte Target Operating Model (TOM) framework to ensure a seamless shift from project phase to Business As Usual (BAU).

Essential Skills & Experience:

Strategic Implementation & GTOM Governance

  • Framework Alignment: Drive all workstream activities in strict accordance with the GTOM framework, ensuring global scalability and process standardization.
  • Gate Ownership: Take full accountability for the execution and successful passage of all GTOM gates supporting the transition.
  • Project Controls: Provide expert input into the program workplan, maintaining rigorous RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and delivering transparent status reports to executive leadership.

Transition, Cutover & Hypercare

  • The Blueprint: Define and execute the end-to-end cutover plan, managing complex data migration cycles, business go live activities and technical environment readiness.
  • Operational Readiness: Design and implement a robust Support Model that bridges the gap between implementation and long-term BAU operations.
  • Hypercare Leadership: Own the definition and execution of the Hypercare approach, providing high-touch leadership during the critical post-go-live window to ensure system stability and user adoption.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Workstream Oversight: Lead, mentor, and oversee a dedicated workstream team, ensuring day-to-day delivery remains on track.
  • Conflict Resolution: Serve as the primary point of escalation for workstream issues, resolving technical and functional roadblocks with urgency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate critical discussions across different teams (IT, HR, Payroll, Finance) to manage interdependencies and ensure a cohesive global rollout.

The Ideal Candidate

  1. Experience: Minimum 7+ years of HR implementation experience, specifically leading workstreams through the full project lifecycle.
  2. Experience working with Deloitte IT, extensive network within the UK IT organisation
  3. The Rescue Mindset: Proven experience delivering difficult or high-stakes implementations. You should be comfortable walking into complex environments and bringing order to chaos.
  4. Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of HR solutions (e.g., SAP, ServiceNow, Avature) and the intricacies of data migration.
  5. Framework Fluency: Prior experience working within a big 4Technology Operating Model or similar enterprise-scale governance structure.
  6. Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior HR leadership and manage third-party implementation partners.

Definition and execution of Support Models

  • Expertise in Data Migration cycles and technical cutover sequencing.
  • Strategic management of Hypercare phases.
  • Mastery of Deloitte Technology Operating Model gate requirements.
