We’re looking for an experienced freelance Meta Ads and/or PPC specialist to support a mix of e-commerce and local service businesses across a range of industries.
This role is ideal for a self-employed freelancer who can confidently take ownership of paid media from strategy through to execution and optimisation. While we’re ideally looking for someone competent in both Meta (Facebook & Instagram Ads) and PPC (Google Ads), we’re also open to working with specialists in one channel if the fit is right.
What you’ll be responsible for
You’ll be expected to handle the entire paid ads process, not just button-pushing.
This includes:
- Full account setup and structure
- Keyword research, search intent analysis, and audience planning
- Campaign creation across Google Search, Performance Max, Display, YouTube and Meta Ads
- Writing and testing ad copy and creatives (working alongside supplied assets where needed)
- Ongoing budget management, optimisation, and scaling
- Conversion tracking setup and validation (GA4, GTM, pixels, events)
- Analysing performance and turning data into clear, actionable insights
- Regular reporting and strategic recommendations for growth
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience running profitable paid media campaigns
- Strong understanding of e-commerce funnels and local lead generation
- Confident managing accounts independently, end-to-end
- Comfortable explaining performance, strategy, and next steps to clients
- Results-focused, commercially minded, and detail-oriented
- Reliable communication and availability for occasional video calls
Location
- North West / Manchester preferred
- Will consider strong applicants anywhere in the UK
Contract & rate
- Freelance / self-employed
- Rate negotiable, based on experience and results
- Opportunity for ongoing work and increased scope if both parties are happy
How to apply
Please include:
- A short overview of your experience
- Platforms you specialise in (Meta, Google Ads, or both)
- Examples of results you’ve achieved (screenshots or summaries are fine)
- Your availability and preferred rate structure
If you’re the kind of freelancer who likes autonomy, variety, and long-term partnerships rather than short-term gigs, this will be a good fit.
