Oracle Developer - 6 month contract Remote working with occasional visit to our offices in Cornwall You will support the delivery a number of BI programme sprints to make sure that all of the relevant data is available to the correct audiences so that it can be fully utilised. It will help realise the potential of data in Cornwall, bringing it together in a centralised data warehouse to provide invaluable insight both into what we do and how we do it, in turn this will inform and support the future of Cornwall. You will also ensure that the client 's employees are able to learn from your experience and skills through training, coaching, pair programming and peer review. Cornwall is a unique county, we are 125 miles long with a population which is very diverse in terms of the location spread. Cornwall also has the most agricultural land of any UK county as well as the most hospital wards outside of London and Manchester. With 800 different data sources, there is a wealth of information which is a real gold mine. Public health alone has 78 data sources with 50 lines each, split by geography. All of that information comes into the council in various different formats and working with Headforwards, the council has big plans to transform the way this data is used. We want to make sure our people have a good work life balance so that they can enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer :) Required Skills / Knowledge / Responsibilities In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP and associated Reporting toolset (OTBI/BI Publisher/BI Composer/BI Answers) Experienced and knowledge of building reports from a suite of Oracle Reporting Tool-set (OTBI/BI Publisher/BI Composer/ BI Answers) Experience in developing Data Models, Reports and Subject Areas within OTBI Knowledge and implementation experience of Oracle Security Models and concepts Extensive knowledge of HCM / ERP / Payroll Reporting / Finance Reporting Proven ability in customisation of OOTB BI reports Ensure all Reports are unit tested to Organisation Testing Standards before handed to business to User Acceptance Testing Work with the business to gather reporting requirements and translate these requirements into Reports Ability to engage with internal customers face to face as well as remotely Lead group discussions on Report designs and templates, helping drive out reporting requirements through knowledge of reporting tools Debug/find complex problems and support/maintain the software solution Comfortable in delivering training for end-users / relevant stakeholders Mentor, motivate and assist the more junior members of the team The closing date for this role is 31st January 2020.
