Data and Digital Analytics Engineering Manager with AI Background at UST, Nottingham/Remote, 3 Months initial, £Contract Rate

Location: Nottingham(Hybrid | Minimum 3 Days Onsite)

Role Purpose

Own and lead the Digital Analytics Engineering function, establish the operating model, deliver the agreed reporting and data-product roadmap, embed agentic development practices.Technomanagerial Role with proficiency in Data, Analytics and AI

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable owner for Digital Analytics Engineering and report to client’s Head of Digital Analytics
• Define and embed the Digital Analytics engineering strategy, governance, and ways of working.
• Lead the establishment of Agentic Development practices using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, AI harnesses, skills, and agent workflows.
• Own backlog prioritization, delivery plans, sprint governance, and stakeholder communication.
• Drive delivery of project’s reporting requirements and Digital Analytics data products.
• Represent Digital Analytics Engineering in governance forums, Data & Reporting Pods, and business readiness activities.
• Manage and mentor delivery teams
• Define productivity, quality, and cost metrics and demonstrate the value of agentic development.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and handover activities.

Required Skills

• Digital Analytics and Data Engineering leadership.
• Power BI and modern BI architecture.
• Databricks, Azure Data Platform, and Cloud Analytics.
• Agentic AI development frameworks and AI-assisted software delivery.
• Agile delivery management and governance.
• Data modelling (Silver/Gold layers).
• Stakeholder management and executive communication.
• CI/CD, DevOps, and engineering best practices.

Experience

• 10+ years in Data & Analytics.
• 5+ years leading analytics/data engineering teams.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise reporting and AI-enabled analytics solutions.
