Automation Developer (n8n & Claude Code) at The AI Adoption, London Area, £Freelance Rate

Do you build automations that businesses can rely on? I’m looking for a freelance developer to work with me on client projects at The AI Adoption.

We help owner-led businesses put AI and automation to practical use in their daily operations. You’ll work directly with me: I scope the projects and manage the client relationship, while you build, test and document the solutions we agree on.

What you’ll work on

You’ll build n8n workflows, connect business tools through APIs and webhooks, and use Claude Code to develop and debug solutions. You’ll test how they behave when something goes wrong, resolve issues and leave clear documentation.

You’ll also need to understand the business behind each project. Who uses the solution? How does it fit into their day? What happens if it fails? Your judgement and your questions matter as much as your ability to build.

How we’ll work together

You’ll start with clearly scoped, paid projects. Before each one, we’ll agree on the deliverables, deadline and either a fixed price or an hourly cap.

You’ll initially work with test data. I’ll coordinate client access and the first live tests. Throughout the project, you’ll be expected to communicate clearly, flag blockers early and be honest about what is ready and what still needs work.

Where this could lead

I’m looking for someone I can keep working with.

As you get to know our clients and their systems, you could take ownership of larger builds, handle more of the technical delivery and maintain and improve the solutions you’ve helped put in place.

If we work well together and the workload supports it, we can move towards an ongoing month-to-month collaboration. We’ll start with individual projects and build from there.

Your focus will remain on technical delivery, with client account management handled separately.

What you’ll bring

• Practical experience building with n8n, APIs and Claude Code.
• Examples of work you can walk us through and explain.
• The ability to work independently and ask for clarification when you need it.
• Clear communication in English. French is optional.
