What you will work on

Full-stack ASP.NET Core

Razor, Web API, minimal APIs and Entity Framework Core against SQL Server, with code review on every change.

Blazor front ends

Blazor Server and WebAssembly components, from shared libraries to production performance work.

Azure, defined as code

App Service, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Application Insights and Azure DevOps pipelines, with infrastructure in Bicep or Terraform.

Systems we did not build

Discovery, runbooks and regression suites for inherited estates, then supporting them day to day.

Integrations that survive

Accounting, payment, CRM and supplier systems, built to be monitored and retried rather than to work once.

Clients who are not engineers

Plain-language updates, honest estimates and the occasional leave it alone.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer AssociateExam AZ-204 · required for this role

Held and current on the day you apply. Every engineer applying for a role at Assemblysoft needs a current Microsoft Azure certification, and we verify it on Microsoft Learn or Credly before the first conversation. Include a link to your transcript or badge with your application.

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400): Preferred; funded within your first year if not yet held.

What we need from you

• A current Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), with proof included in your application.
• 3+ years delivering ASP.NET web applications in C# in a professional environment.
• Working knowledge of Blazor (Server or WebAssembly) and a willingness to go deep.
• Hands-on Azure: deploying, configuring and monitoring App Service or container workloads.
• Git and Azure DevOps, unit and integration testing, code review as a habit.
• Clear written and spoken communication with clients who are not engineers.

Nice to have

• Legacy .NET Framework and SQL Server modernisation experience.
• .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid, SignalR, or Oqtane.
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).

Exam AZ-305. Required for our architect role and for anyone who signs off an Azure design.

DevOps Engineer Expert

Exam AZ-400. Preferred for engineers who own pipelines, environments and releases.

Associate

Azure Developer Associate

Exam AZ-204. The minimum for every developer role: ASP.NET Core and Blazor on Azure.

Azure Administrator Associate

Exam AZ-104. The prerequisite for the Solutions Architect Expert certification.

Fundamentals

Azure Fundamentals

Exam AZ-900. A useful start, but on its own it does not meet the requirement for any of our roles.
