We a new UK based AI automation company focused on helping businesses improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, increase productivity and streamline their daily operations through intelligent automation.

Our ambition is to establish a successful and scalable technology business providing practical AI and automation solutions to companies throughout the UK, with plans to expand into international markets.

We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded AI Automation Developer to help establish the technical foundations of the company, develop our initial services and deliver reliable automation solutions to business clients.

As a new business, we are particularly interested in someone who is confident working independently, has strong problem solving abilities and can contribute ideas towards developing and expanding the company.

We are looking for more than someone who can simply complete technical tasks. We want an individual who understands the commercial potential of AI automation and is interested in becoming part of a growing business.

For the right candidate, there will be opportunities for increased responsibility, performance related profit sharing and potentially purchasing an ownership stake in the company as it develops.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and implement AI powered automation systems for business clients.
• Build and manage workflows using n8n, Make, Zapier and other suitable automation platforms.
• Integrate artificial intelligence models, including OpenAI APIs, into existing business processes.
• Develop automated customer enquiry systems, appointment booking solutions, lead qualification and customer follow up processes.
• Connect CRM platforms, email systems, calendars, databases and other business applications.
• Develop automated quotation systems, invoicing workflows and administrative processes.
• Create reusable automation solutions that can be adapted and implemented across multiple businesses.
• Assist in identifying new automation services and commercial opportunities that the company can offer.
• Assess client requirements and recommend practical, cost effective automation solutions.
• Monitor system performance, identify technical issues and provide ongoing maintenance and improvements.
• Ensure automation systems are secure, reliable and developed with appropriate data protection measures.
• Maintain clear documentation of workflows, integrations and technical configurations.
• Assist with technical demonstrations, project planning and estimating development costs.
• Contribute ideas towards improving the company’s services, operational efficiency and long term growth.

Essential Requirements

• Proven commercial experience developing automation systems for businesses.
• Strong practical experience with n8n, Make, Zapier or similar workflow automation platforms.
• Experience integrating APIs, webhooks and third party software applications.
• Experience implementing AI models and tools into automated workflows.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript or Python.
• Ability to develop secure, reliable and scalable automation systems.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues, managing errors and monitoring automated processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• A portfolio or examples demonstrating previous commercial automation projects.

Desirable Experience

Experience working within an AI automation agency or technology consultancy would be advantageous.

We would also welcome applicants with experience in the following areas:

• HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho and other CRM platforms.
• AI assistants, chatbots and automated customer service systems.
• Cloud hosting, databases and software integrations.
• UK GDPR requirements and secure data handling.
• Developing reusable automation products for multiple clients.
• Estimating project costs and identifying commercially viable automation solutions.
• Helping establish or expand a technology based business.
• Experience leading technical projects or managing other developers.
• Understanding of how technology services businesses generate revenue, retain clients and scale operations.

Initial Projects

The successful candidate will initially assist in developing three core automation services that we intend to offer to business clients.

1. AI Customer Enquiry and Appointment Automation

Develop systems capable of handling incoming customer enquiries, collecting relevant information, qualifying potential customers, arranging appointments and updating CRM platforms automatically.

2. Automated Quotations and Customer Follow Ups

Create workflows that collect customer requirements, prepare quotation drafts for approval, send appropriate follow up communications and help businesses improve their sales processes.

3. Business Operations Automation

Develop solutions that connect existing business applications and automate repetitive administrative tasks, including scheduling, customer communications, data entry and invoicing.

These systems will form part of our initial service offering and will be used to demonstrate the practical benefits of automation to prospective clients.

Profit Sharing and Future Ownership Opportunities

As the company develops, we intend to explore performance related profit sharing arrangements for individuals who demonstrate strong technical ability, reliability and a commitment to the company’s long term success.

Any profit sharing or equity arrangements would be discussed individually and subject to mutually agreed terms. These opportunities are not guaranteed as part of the initial freelance engagement.
