Network Solution Architect/Technical Lead

Location: London (2-3 days/Hybrid)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Solution Architect/Technical Lead to lead the end-to-end design, delivery and implementation of enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Centre, SD-WAN, Security and Cloud environments.

The successful candidate will act as the technical authority, ensuring network solutions are scalable, secure, resilient and aligned with business requirements and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead network architecture, solution design and technical governance across enterprise infrastructure projects.
• Develop, review and approve High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and technical documentation.
• Provide technical expertise across LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Centre, SD-WAN, Security and Cloud connectivity.
• Conduct requirements gathering, project scoping, technical assessments and risk analysis.
• Review and validate Physical Site Surveys (PSS), Bills of Materials (BOM), rack elevations, implementation plans and runbooks.
• Coordinate with project managers, Orange, telecom carriers, cabling vendors, facilities and third-party technology teams.
• Oversee network staging, deployments, migrations, testing and change implementation.
• Provide technical leadership during major implementations, incidents and escalations.
• Ensure network configurations, monitoring, security and infrastructure standards are followed.
• Manage WAN circuit delivery, carrier migrations and network optimisation activities.
• Lead Operational Readiness Testing (ORT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Hypercare and Handover to Operations (HOTO).
• Ensure successful network integration with AV, Digital Signage, Security, Printers and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Drive technical standardisation, operational improvements and network best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Network Solution Architect, Network Technical Lead or Senior Network Design Engineer.
• Strong expertise in enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and Data Centre networking.
• Excellent hands-on knowledge of Cisco routing, switching and wireless technologies.
• Experience producing and reviewing HLDs, LLDs, BOMs and technical implementation documentation.
• Strong understanding of network security, resilience, high availability and cloud connectivity.
• Experience managing large-scale network deployments, migrations and infrastructure upgrades.
• Knowledge of WAN circuits, telecom carriers and service provider connectivity.
• Experience with network testing, operational readiness, change management and handover processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, vendor coordination and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification.
• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and wireless platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure/AWS networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Experience working in multi-vendor, multi-site enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL, technical governance and enterprise architecture standards.
