Business Intelligence Developer at Delve, Remote, Part-Time, £Contract Rate

Contract Description

About Delve

Delve is a Data & AI company for B2B service businesses. We build the intelligence layer real-world companies run on, from the data platform to analytics and AI applications that help automate how complex work gets done.

We’re a global, ambitious and technical team working fully remote across several countries, and we’re hiring an Business Intelligence Developer to work directly with clients, solve complex data problems, and ship solutions they rely on.

The role

You’ll own client data projects from start to finish — from connecting source systems and modeling the data to building the semantic layer and shipping analytics and AI applications.

You’ll work directly with CFOs, COOs, and other business leaders, understand how the business actually works, turn ambiguous problems into clear data products, and ship solutions that become part of how teams operate.

What you'll do

  • Integrate source systems (ERP, accounting, CRM, field service and project management tools) into a cloud data warehouse
  • Build clean, tested data models in SQL and dbt
  • Define and maintain semantic and business context models in dbt
  • Build executive and operational dashboards in Power BI
  • Build AI analytics and automation on top of the data foundation
  • Work directly with client stakeholders to scope requirements, validate numbers and explain results
  • Manage multiple client projects at once and keep them moving

What you need

  • 3+ years in analytics engineering, BI development or data engineering
  • Strong SQL. You can model messy financial and operational data without supervision.
  • Hands-on Power BI experience, including data modeling and DAX
  • Experience with dbt
  • Experience with at least one cloud warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Fabric, Databricks or similar)
  • Solid understanding of financial data: P&L, gross margin, job and project costing
  • Clear written and spoken English. You'll be client-facing.
  • Ownership. You ship without being chased.

Nice to have

  • Python
  • Experience with ingestion tools (Fivetran, Airbyte or similar)
  • Experience with systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, ServiceTitan or Procore
  • Experience building with LLMs or AI tooling on top of structured data
  • Background in consulting or agency work

How to apply

Apply with your CV and a short note (3–5 sentences) on a data project you're proud of: what the business problem was, what you built, and what changed as a result.
