Senior Project Manager – Source to Pay Transformation

Duration: Initial 6 Months

Location: Flexible – primarily remote (Dublin or potentially Reading intermittently when required)

Contract Type: Day Rate (Inside IR35)

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the mobilisation and delivery of a strategic Source to Pay Transformation during its Discovery, Design and Planning phases within a major international retail organisation.

This role will play a key role in leading high-priority projects focused on transformation mobilisation, design and governance for an enterprise wide Source to Pay (S2P) Transformation to define and deliver a future state operating model spanning Procurement, Finance Operations, Supplier Management, Data and Technology.

You will also act as the key link between the Source to Pay transformation programme, Technology and wider Procurement Excellence deliveries, ensuring alignment across dependencies, risks, and delivery plans.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead detailed design phase of Source to Pay transformation project and strategic change initiatives.
• Build strong relationships across Procurement, Finance, Technology, Commercial, and Operations teams.
• Drive improvements in spend visibility, controls, compliance, and governance.
• Support the Procurement team to coordinate delivery across multiple Procurement Excellence workstreams and stakeholders.
• Manage project plans, communications, RAID logs, governance, reporting, and dependency management.
• Support business readiness, stakeholder engagement, and change adoption activities.
• Track benefits realisation, ensuring measurable business outcomes are delivered.
• Align Procurement Excellence initiatives with wider Source-to-Pay transformation programmes.

What We're Looking For

• Experience leading complex cross functional transformation initiatives across Procurement, Finance or GBS environments.
• Experience in Procurement Transformation, Spend Management, Cost Optimisation, Procurement Excellence, or Operational Improvement.
• Experience in Operating model design and target operating model implementation
• Experience of Source to Pay / Procurement technology solutions
• Strong programme governance, planning and dependency management capability.
• Experience working across business and technology transformation teams.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple business functions.
• Experience managing ambiguity and operating in large matrix organisations.
• Knowledge of procurement and S2P processes including sourcing, supplier management, contract management, and governance.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and cross-functional stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrable track record delivering business change and measurable benefits.

Desirable Experience

• Retail sector experience.
• Procurement technology or digital transformation initiatives.
• PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, Agile, or equivalent project management certifications.
• Shared Services or Global Business Services transformation.
