Title: Product & Delivery Associate

In one line: works alongside the Head of Product to make product decisions faster and help the team scale as scope grows, rather than just administering delivery.

Core responsibilities

• Cross-team communication
• Act as the connective tissue between design, engineering and partner-facing workstreams.
• Own recurring stand-ups/check-ins with design and engineering, and turn them into concise written updates that leadership can scan in under a minute.
• Translate between workstreams: flag when a design decision blocks engineering, or when a partner delay affects a delivery date.
• Delivery tracking and monitoring developer progress
• Own day-to-day hygiene for the team's project boards (e.g. Jira): due dates, assignees, stale or contradictory tickets, and priority consistency.
• Track epics and stories against agreed milestones; surface at-risk items early, not at the deadline.
• Monitor actual delivery pace against plan, not just ticket status, and be close enough to the engineering work to know when "in progress" is stalled.
• Deadline management
• Maintain a single live view of dependencies across design, engineering and partner workstreams.
• Escalate slippage early with a recommendation, not merely a warning.
• Strategic input
• This is not a pure coordination role: expected to proactively flag genuine gaps and risks, question scope creep, and contribute to prioritisation calls, not just execute tickets.
• Represent the product in cross-functional discussions when the Head of Product can't be in two places at once (e.g. a design review or an engineering planning session).
• As the scope grows, take real ownership of decisions in agreed areas rather than merely tracking them, and be a thinking partner as the role scales, not just support.

AI-enabled delivery

• Use AI tooling to streamline recurring work: status summaries, Jira ticket drafting and cleanup, meeting notes, blueprint/deck generation, and first-pass documentation.
• Identify further automation opportunities in the delivery workflow (e.g. extending the existing overdue-ticket Slack automation) rather than handling everything manually.
• Any AI tool used on confidential material (partner terms, compliance drafts, internal strategy) needs the same data-handling care as the rest of the team. See the confidentiality note below.

What good looks like (first 90 days)

• Project boards stay current without the Head of Product having to chase them: due dates are set, stale/contradictory tickets are caught weekly, and priorities are consistent with stated strategy.
• Design and engineering blockers surface days before a deadline, not on the deadline.
• The Head of Product's time spent on status updates and cross-team relay drops measurably, freeing time for partnerships and strategy.
• The delivery process (reporting, ticket hygiene, meeting notes) is measurably faster thanks to an AI-assisted workflow this person introduced or improved.

Requirements and experience

Must have

• Experience in product delivery or programme/project management, ideally in a start-up or scale-up (fintech or a regulated industry is a strong plus, not a hard requirement).
• Hands-on fluency with Jira and Confluence, comfortable owning board hygiene, not just viewing it.
• Strong written communicator, comfortable summarising technical and commercial detail for different audiences (engineering, design, and leadership).
• Comfortable working directly with AI tools as a working method, not merely aware of them.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to card issuing, banking-as-a-service, or crypto/stablecoin infrastructure.
• Experience in setting up or improving delivery automation (Slack/Jira rules, reporting workflows).

Working Arrangement

This is a self-employed consulting engagement and is not an employment position at this stage.

The successful candidate will operate as an independent consultant and will be responsible for their own tax, national insurance and other statutory obligations.

The role will involve close collaboration with the Product Manager, COO and wider leadership team, with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility for delivering agreed business outcomes.
