We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a major portfolio of complex infrastructure projects valued at approximately £500m. The role will involve overseeing project teams, contractors and consultants, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with agreed governance, commercial and performance objectives.

Working within a major projects environment, you will be responsible for programme leadership, stakeholder management, commercial performance, budget control, risk management and supply chain oversight, ensuring successful delivery across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a portfolio of major infrastructure projects.
• Manage programme governance, reporting and approvals processes.
• Oversee commercial, financial and schedule performance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and develop project teams, ensuring capability and resource requirements are met.
• Drive health, safety, quality and compliance standards across the programme.
• Manage consultants and contractors, ensuring value for money and performance against agreed objectives.

Requirements

• Extensive experience delivering complex, high-value infrastructure or major projects programmes.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven commercial and contract management experience.
• Experience operating within complex matrix organisations.
• Programme or Project Management qualification such as MSP, APM or equivalent, or the ability to attain accreditation.
• Background within highways, transportation, infrastructure or a similar major projects environment preferred.
