Technology Transformation Programme Manager at Crown Prosecution Service, Remote, 6 Months, £Contract Rate

This is an opportunity to lead a critical national transformation programme at the heart of the UK justice system. You will influence major technology decisions, work alongside senior digital leaders and help shape the future direction of one of government 's most important legacy replacement initiatives.

You will play a leading role in the replacement of a major legacy Case Management System while helping shape the future technology, architecture and operating model that will support CPS services for years to come.

Working directly with senior programme leadership, you will provide strategic oversight across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment between delivery, architecture, product, change and operational activities while supporting critical executive decision making.

The Role

This is not a traditional Programme Manager position. We are looking for an individual who has successfully led large scale technology transformation programmes, including the replacement or modernisation of business critical legacy systems, and who can confidently operate at executive level across complex, business critical environments.

As a Technology Transformation Programme Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Providing strategic leadership across a major legacy system replacement programme.
• Maintaining programme wide alignment across delivery, architecture, product, business change and commercial workstreams.
• Managing programme dependencies, risks, priorities and delivery confidence across a complex transformation landscape.
• Supporting senior governance and investment forums through evidence based recommendations and decision making.
• Building trusted relationships with Board, Executive and senior technology stakeholders to drive alignment across complex workstreams.
• Providing strategic advice, challenge and recommendations to senior governance and investment forums.
• Supporting the ongoing modernisation and future replacement of a business critical technology platform.
• Balancing live service delivery with long term transformation objectives.

Essential:

• Proven leadership of a major technology transformation programme with significant organisational and operational impact.
• Demonstrable senior responsibility for replacing or materially modernising a business critical legacy core system.
• Experience integrating delivery, architecture, product, business change and operational teams across complex programmes.
• Strong programme planning, dependency management and stakeholder leadership experience.
• Experience delivering transformation through agile or product led approaches.
• Executive level stakeholder management, including engagement with Board, C-Suite, SRO and senior technology leadership teams across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience operating in complex environments where technology and delivery approaches continue to evolve.
• Experience balancing live service delivery with future state transformation in a complex or regulated environment.

Desirable:

• Build led digital transformation experience.
• Legacy modernisation, platform evaluation or transition to modular/service based architectures.
• Experience across multiple agile product or platform teams.
• Government, criminal justice, law enforcement or other regulated environments.
• MSP, APM or equivalent qualifications.
