Role Description

This is a remote contract role that may involve working with multiple clients, managing priorities, and delivering agreed outcomes within defined timelines.

The Power Platform Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.

This includes gathering and refining requirements, building low-code applications, integrating data from multiple sources, automating workflows, and optimising the Power Platform solution for performance, usability, and security.

The role involves collaborating with consultants and client stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions, as well as producing clear technical documentation and providing knowledge transfer or light training where needed.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and integration with Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
• Experience designing and implementing data models, connectors, and APIs, including working with Dataverse, SharePoint, and external data sources.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, including process mapping, workflow design, and solution architecture in low-code environments.
• Skills in testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation of Power Platform solutions, with attention to maintainability and scalability.
• Understanding of security, compliance, and governance within Microsoft cloud ecosystems, including role-based access and data protection best practices.
• Proficiency in writing clear technical documentation and providing guidance or training to non-technical stakeholders.
• Effective remote collaboration skills, including clear communication, time management, and the ability to work independently within a contract setting.
• Beneficial qualifications include experience in consulting environments, familiarity with cyber security principles, and relevant Microsoft certifications in Power Platform or Microsoft 365.
