World Wide Technology (WWT) is looking for an experienced Network Operations Support Engineer to support and optimize enterprise and data centre networks within a complex, regulated environment.

The ideal candidate combines strong incident response and troubleshooting skill (L2–L7) with the ability to collaborate across engineering, security, and business stakeholders to keep network services stable, secure, and high-performing.

This is a contract Role & Inside IR35

Network Operations Support Engineer

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days a week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 support for enterprise and data centre networks.
• Lead incident response and drive root-cause remediation.
• Implement network and firewall changes with risk/rollback planning.
• Support Cisco ACI, Palo Alto, and Fortinet platforms.
• Maintain baselines, SOPs, and operational documentation.
• Liaise with vendors and stakeholders on faults and SLAs.
• Report on incidents, availability, and operational KPIs.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• 8–12+ years supporting large-scale enterprise/data centre networks.
• Strong L2–L7 troubleshooting (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QoS).
• Hands-on Cisco ACI experience (tenants, policies, APIC).
• Hands-on Palo Alto and Fortinet firewall experience.
• Experience with spine-leaf architectures and HA designs.
• Automation skills using Python and Ansible.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Desirable:

• Experience with MPLS, SD-WAN, and hybrid WAN connectivity.
• Cloud networking knowledge (AWS/Azure).
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services).
