About us

Optific+ is building the AI intelligence layer for optical businesses. Optical groups have their information scattered across practice management systems, tills, reporting tools and documents. We connect those sources and let teams ask questions about their business in plain language, with every answer cited back to the source record. We are moving into enterprise pilots and need someone to own the technical implementation of them.

The role

Your first focus is a pilot with a multi-site optical group. You will work out how to get at their data, build the integration, map it into something we can query reliably, configure the product around the agreed use cases and keep it working through the pilot. Then turn what you learn into a repeatable process for the next customer.

This is not greenfield product work. The problem is making an existing AI product work inside a real customer's technical environment, usually one with poor documentation and no clean modern API.

Stack

TypeScript, Postgres via Supabase, Qdrant for vector search on our own German hosting, OpenAI enterprise API, Cloudflare. Tenant isolation is enforced at the database level, so careful data handling matters here more than in most product work.

What we need

• Strong backend engineering, with real experience integrating third-party systems and APIs
• Comfortable with messy datasets, data transformation and undocumented systems
• Solid grasp of authentication, permissions, secrets management and secure data handling
• Able to debug across several systems at once, not just inside one application
• Happy working directly with founders, with incomplete information, at pace

Useful but not required: B2B SaaS integrations, ETL pipelines, RAG and embeddings, role-based access control, healthcare or pharmacy data, legacy systems.

We don't care about your education. We expect you deal with ambiguous situations with clarity.

How you will be judged

Not by code shipped. By whether the customer can use Optific+ with the systems they already have.
