Implementation Support Officer at Ministry of Defence, Bristol, to the end of March 2027, £Contract Rate

Contract Description

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is a central government department with a mission to protect our country and provide the ultimate guarantee of its security and independence, as well as helping to protect its values and interests abroad.

 

Support implementation of LCP processes, tools and service improvements. Coordinate plans, actions, reporting, user engagement, testing and transition activity to maintain delivery momentum and operational readiness.

 

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

 

As a Implementation Support Officer x2, your main responsibilities will be:

 

Key outcomes

 

  • Accurate delivery plans, logs, records and management information maintained.
  • Milestones, actions, risks, issues, dependencies and decisions actively tracked.
  • Well-coordinated workshops, testing, deployment, onboarding and transition activity.
  • Clear guidance, communications and training materials supporting user readiness.
  •  

Key responsibilities

 

  • Support project planning, action tracking and implementation coordination.
  • Organise meetings, workshops, user engagement and implementation events.
  • Prepare progress reports, management information and briefing products.
  • Maintain risk, issue, action and decision logs and escalate emerging concerns.
  • Gather user feedback and support testing, deployment, guidance, training and transition.

 

Essential Skills

 

  • Experience supporting project delivery, implementation, business change or service improvement.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, including management of multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate delivery records, logs and progress reports.
  • Good stakeholder engagement, teamwork and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills and confidence using Microsoft Office tools.

 

Desirable Skills

 

  • Commercial, procurement, finance or public-sector change experience.
  • Experience supporting workshops, training, testing or user engagement.
  • Experience producing dashboards, management information or briefings.
