Senior Freelance Web & Digital Designer at World Privilege Plus, Prestwich, Part-Time, £Freelance Rate

Contract Description

Senior Freelance Web & Digital Designer

Senior Freelance Web & Digital Designer

Part Time, 2 Days a Week | Prestwich, Manchester

We’re looking for a very experienced and genuinely creative freelance designer to join us for two days a week in our Prestwich office.

This is a varied, hands-on role working across three very different brands under one roof. Each has its own audience, personality and creative requirements, so you’ll need to be comfortable moving between them and adapting your style accordingly.

We already have established brands and platforms. We’re not looking for someone to come in and reinvent everything from scratch. We want someone with the creative eye and experience to look at what we have, identify where it could be better and help us continually raise the standard of our creative output.

Most importantly, we want someone who brings ideas, not just someone who waits for a brief.

About us

We’re a small, ambitious group of businesses based in Prestwich, Manchester, spanning three distinct areas:

World Privilege Plus – a global lifestyle rewards and benefits platform with over 4 million verified members, connecting members with offers and experiences across travel, leisure, hospitality, retail and lifestyle.

Elevate – an independent lifestyle magazine covering people, places, travel, food, experiences, culture and lifestyle.

BookFellers – a book discovery platform helping readers discover books, authors and new releases.

Between the three, there’s a genuinely broad mix of creative work, from websites, brochures and newsletters to editorial content, social media, digital campaigns and video.

What you’ll be working on

Your work will span web, digital, brand and content, including:

  • Creative improvements and enhancements to our existing websites, with a strong eye for user experience and responsive design
  • Brochures, presentations and digital marketing materials
  • Email and newsletter design
  • Social media content and campaign creative
  • Short-form video, motion graphics and video adverts
  • Editorial and feature design for Elevate
  • Maintaining, developing and evolving our existing visual identities
  • Creative concepts for campaigns, launches and new initiatives
  • Considering user engagement and performance when developing and improving digital creative
  • Exploring AI and emerging creative tools where they can genuinely enhance ideas, content or production

One day you might be improving part of one of our websites or creating a corporate brochure, the next designing an Elevate feature, producing a newsletter or developing a video concept.

We want someone who enjoys that variety and can make each brand feel distinctive while maintaining a consistently high creative standard.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced designer with a strong and varied portfolio that demonstrates both excellent design skills and genuine creative thinking.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Significant professional experience across web, digital and graphic design
  • Strong web design skills with a good understanding of UX, responsive design and accessibility
  • Experience working with and improving existing websites
  • Excellent brochure, presentation and digital collateral design skills
  • Experience creating engaging email and newsletter designs
  • Strong social media and digital campaign experience
  • Video editing and/or motion graphics capability
  • Excellent typography, layout and visual storytelling skills
  • Experience working within established brand identities while finding ways to evolve and improve them
  • Confidence switching between very different brands, audiences and styles
  • An understanding of how strong design supports engagement, marketing and commercial growth
  • Proficiency with professional design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, or equivalent
  • Confidence using emerging AI creative tools and an interest in how they can enhance the creative process
  • An understanding of digital performance and the ability to use insight or analytics to inform creative improvements
  • The ability to work independently, manage priorities and make the most of two busy days each week

Above all, we’re looking for creative instinct.

We want someone who can take an idea and make it better, not simply make it prettier. Someone who will bring fresh thinking, suggest approaches we may not have considered and become a valued creative part of the businesses as they continue to grow.

  • Freelance, ongoing role
  • Two days per week
  • Based in our Prestwich office, M25 1AW
