Workday Business Analyst

Location: Reading or Dublin (Hybrid)

Duration: Initial 6 Months

Day Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35 if UK-based)

 

We're looking for an experienced Workday Business Analyst to join a major global HR transformation programme. This role will work at the intersection of HR and Technology, supporting the enhancement, optimisation, and delivery of Workday capabilities across multiple markets.

 

We're seeking someone with strong Workday functional expertise who can operate across both HR business processesand technical/product-oriented Workday domains. You'll work closely with HR, Technology, and third-party partners to define requirements, improve processes, and support the delivery of scalable Workday solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for Workday-related initiatives.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to define and optimise business processes including Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, and Core HCM.
  • Analyse current and future-state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and standardisation.
  • Produce high-quality requirements documentation, process maps, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Work across technical Workday areas including Security, Integrations, Reporting, Data Governance, and Data Masking.
  • Support solution design discussions and help translate business requirements into Workday solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Technology, and vendor teams to ensure successful delivery of enhancements and project outcomes.
  • Support testing, defect management, change impact assessments, and business readiness activities.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement across global and local teams, balancing standardisation with local market needs.

 

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a Workday environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and Workday functional modules, including areas such as Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, or Core HCM.
  • Experience working across Workday technical and product domains, including Security, Integrations, Reporting, Data Masking, and Data Governance.
  • Strong requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, process mapping, and documentation skills.
  • Experience supporting HR transformation, Workday implementations, or Workday optimisation programmes.
  • Ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within global, complex, and cross-functional environments.

 

Desirable Experience

  • Workday certifications.
  • Experience supporting multinational or multi-market Workday deployments.
  • Experience working with Workday integrations and third-party HR applications.
  • Retail industry experience.
