Lead Business Analyst - RFID Programme
Day Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35)
Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract
Location: Reading (Hybrid)
We're looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join Phase 2 of a major RFID transformation programme.
This is a hybrid Business Analysis and Project Delivery/Management role, requiring someone who can lead discovery activities while also driving planning, coordination, governance, and delivery readiness across the programme. You'll play a key role in shaping the future solution, managing stakeholders, and ensuring the programme is set up for successful execution.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading business analysis activities across the discovery phase of the RFID programme.
- Gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
- Facilitating workshops with business and technology stakeholders to define scope, priorities, and objectives.
- Producing high-quality documentation including requirements, process maps, user stories, business cases, and reporting packs.
- Analysing current and future-state processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting project planning, governance, RAID management, and stakeholder reporting.
- Coordinating activities across multiple workstreams, ensuring dependencies, risks, and milestones are effectively managed.
- Supporting vendor assessments, solution evaluations, and programme decision-making.
- Working closely with Retail Operations, Technology, Supply Chain, and Programme teams to define and shape the next phase of delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Lead Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, or Business Analyst with Project Management responsibilities.
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading discovery and mobilisation phases of large-scale transformation programmes.
- Demonstrable project delivery experience, including planning, governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively across both business and technology teams.
- Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills.
Desirable Experience
- Retail industry experience.
- Experience with RFID, POS, stock management, inventory management, or store technology programmes.
- Experience supporting software selection, vendor evaluations, or business case development.
- Experience working on global or multi-market transformation programmes.
