The Role

The new fractional cybersecurity business development lead will help to secure the first paid design-partner engagements for Tyrian4, an emerging AI-assisted cybersecurity platform currently being developed through custom, high-touch customer work.

In the initial phase, customers will not be buying a fully mature self-service software product. They will be engaging our team to deliver custom cybersecurity analysis, security-world-modeling, identity/access review, red/blue validation, and remediation coordination services, using the back-end components and agentic infrastructure that will become the Tyrian4 product over time.

The Tyrian4 product vision is to help companies maintain a living model of their security posture, including identities, access, cloud and SaaS infrastructure, non-human identities, AI agents, attack paths, controls, evidence, and remediation workflows. The back end of the product leverages novel neural-symbolic AI agents technology, developed over many years but not previously applied in the cybersecurity domain.

The first paid engagements will help validate and refine this architecture in real customer environments, while delivering concrete security value through a combination of expert human work, AI-assisted analysis, and early Tyrian4 back-end capabilities.

This is a fractional, founder-style commercial role. The immediate goal is not to build a large sales organization, but to help us close a small number of high-quality paid pilot or design-partner engagements with the right early customers.

The initial target sectors are crypto infrastructure, digital asset custody, wallet infrastructure, exchanges, stablecoin infrastructure, cloud-native payments, fintech infrastructure, and adjacent regulated SaaS or financial technology companies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and qualify target customers in crypto infrastructure, cloud-native payments, fintech infrastructure, digital asset custody, wallet infrastructure, exchanges, stablecoin infrastructure, and related sectors.
  • Secure conversations with CISOs, CTOs, Heads of Security, Heads of Infrastructure, security-minded founders, COOs, CFOs, and risk/compliance leaders.
  • Lead discovery around customer pain points such as identity governance, cloud risk, service accounts, API keys, non-human identities, AI-agent governance, detection gaps, auditability, and remediation.
  • Translate the Deputy CISO product vision into concrete buyer value: risk reduction, identity control, attack-path visibility, remediation follow-through, and executive security reporting.
  • Collaborate with technical founders, security experts, and fractional CISO advisors to shape paid pilot proposals.
  • Help define early pricing, packaging, scope, and contract structure for design-partner engagements.
  • Support proposal writing, negotiation, and closing.
  • Help distinguish qualified design partners from low-value exploratory conversations.
  • Provide ongoing market feedback to product and technical teams.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will need the following qualifications and qualities:

Skills & Experience

  • Existing network among senior security, technology, infrastructure, or risk leaders in relevant sectors.
  • Proven ability to sell complex cybersecurity or security-adjacent offerings to senior buyers.
  • Ability to operate in a high-ambiguity early-stage environment.
  • Experience selling paid pilots, design partnerships, strategic services, or early-stage enterprise products.
  • Ability to understand and discuss identity governance, cloud security, non-human identities, access control, red/blue validation, compliance pressure, and remediation.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, including discovery, problem framing, proposal shaping, negotiation, and closing.
  • Ability to work closely with technical founders and cybersecurity experts.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with crypto custody, wallets, exchanges, stablecoins, payments infrastructure, or fintech platforms.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, DORA, NYDFS, or related security/compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with non-human identity risks, including service accounts, API keys, workload identities, bots, and AI agents.
  • Experience working with CISOs, fractional CISOs, red teams, managed security providers, or security advisory firms.
  • Ability to contribute to messaging and positioning, not just execute an existing sales playbook.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a generic crypto partnership role. Cybersecurity credibility is essential.

This is not a mature SaaS account executive role with an established category, a large SDR pipeline, and standardized sales collateral.

This is not commodity pentest sales. The offering is closer to AI-assisted security posture modeling, identity governance, attack-path analysis, red/blue validation, and remediation coordination.

This is not a full-time VP Sales role at the outset, though it could evolve into a larger commercial leadership role if the initial engagement succeeds.

What you will get in return:

  • Being part of one of the greatest AI and blockchain teams in the world that aims to create beneficial Artificial General Intelligence for the good of humanity
  • Working on multiple projects that each have the potential to change the world in domains of AI and crypto
  • A lot of freedom and responsibility in organizing your work hours and location
  • Opportunities to advance your career in many potential directions
  • Contract rate is in line with your experience and location that you are based.
