Overview

We are seeking a Delivery Manager to lead delivery of a public sector digital transformation programme spanning products, platforms, operating models and data. You will bring excellent public sector programme delivery experience, working across Agile teams to keep delivery on track, manage risks and dependencies, and protect outcomes end-to-end. Working closely with Product, Engineering and Business Analysis, you will drive governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement to keep delivery moving at pace. Previous experience with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is desirable but not essential. Success looks like a well-governed, on-track programme with strong stakeholder confidence and outcomes delivered against plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a complex, multi-workstream public sector programme, keeping scope, risk and dependencies under control
• Establish and run delivery governance, including reporting, RAID logs and steering group updates
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach delivery teams to maintain pace and quality
• Manage relationships with senior client stakeholders, building trust and providing transparent, outcome-led updates
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks early, escalating and resolving blockers to protect outcomes
• Partner with Product, Business Analysis and Engineering to keep delivery aligned to the agreed roadmap and benefits case
• Support resourcing, planning and commercial management across the programme

Essential Skills

• Excellent experience in public sector programme delivery, ideally across complex, multi-stakeholder digital transformation programmes
• Strong track record managing delivery governance, RAID logs, reporting and steering group engagement
• Experienced Delivery Manager in Agile environments, comfortable flexing approach to context
• Strong stakeholder management skills, building credibility with senior client stakeholders quickly
• Commercially aware, outcomes-focused mindset with the ability to manage risk, scope and budget
• Willing to undergo BPSS clearance

• Previous experience delivering for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
• Relevant delivery certifications (eg PRINCE2, Agile PM, SAFe)
• Experience mentoring or developing delivery capability within a growing team
