Pay: Fixed price for the build (including 30-day warranty). Quote on application, fixed price.
Start: This week.
About the role
Makerz is a boutique marketing agency running paid media (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok) for an international restaurant brand. Our dashboards must be rebuilt around the new definitions, and a new data pipeline built from the provider's data warehouse. This is a defined piece of work with a written specification, clear definitions and acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild our client reporting as one Supermetrics Studio dashboard (HTML + query API) with three pages built to a written specification: a client overview, a Google Ads page and a Meta/TikTok page. A fourth page is fed by the pipeline below.
- Connect to a third-party data warehouse (Apache Iceberg on S3) using DuckDB; write one documented SQL extract following the provider's handbook; reconcile it once against the provider's published report; automate it nightly into Google Sheets or BigQuery for the dashboard to read.
- Implement the agency's visual system from supplied brand assets and produce static mock-ups for approval before wiring data.
- Deliver a runbook, hand over all source, and run a one-hour walkthrough with the in-house team.
- Build the nightly job with automatic failure alerts; fix anything broken or defective at no charge for 30 days after handover; be available ad hoc at a day rate afterwards.
Requirements
- Strong SQL; comfortable working in a terminal and with DuckDB, BigQuery or similar.
- Experience building marketing or commercial dashboards, including reconciling detail rows to totals.
- Enough JavaScript to work inside an HTML dashboard that calls an API.
- Careful with definitions and documentation; able to follow a technical handbook precisely.
- Able to sign an NDA and handle production data containing personal data correctly.
- Paid media platform knowledge useful but not required.
How to apply
Send two or three examples of relevant work, your fixed price or day rate, and two or three paragraphs on how you would approach connecting to a data warehouse, extracting a dataset and reconciling it against a published report.
