Job Description

Location – Warrington

Hybrid – 2/3 days in Warrington office

Contract (Inside IR35) Only

The Risk Analyst supports successful project delivery by identifying, assessing and managing risks and opportunities, with a focus on developing and maintaining risk-informed project schedules.

Working within the Project Controls and wider delivery team, the role helps integrate risk information with schedules to provide a clear view of uncertainty and its potential impact on project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, assess and manage project risks and opportunities.

Develop and maintain risk-based project schedules.

Support risk reviews and workshops with project teams and stakeholders.

️ Maintain accurate risk information across relevant systems and registers.

  • ️ Assess schedule uncertainty and potential impacts on milestones and completion dates.

Carry out quantitative schedule risk analysis to support forecasting and decision-making.

Work closely with planners, Project Controls and delivery teams to integrate risk into schedules.

️ Support risk response, mitigation and monitoring activities.

Produce clear reports highlighting key risks, schedule drivers, uncertainty and emerging trends.

Support continuous improvement of project risk processes, tools and techniques.

Essential Experience

Proven project risk management experience within a project or programme environment.

Experience developing and analysing risk-based schedules.

Experience with quantitative schedule risk analysis and interpreting results.

Experience supporting risk reviews and workshops.

Strong understanding of risk, scheduling, project controls and forecasting.

Experience using risk management and scheduling software.

️ Able to analyse information and communicate risk impacts clearly.


 

Essential Qualifications

Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in risk management, project controls, project management, engineering or a related field.

Working knowledge of recognised risk management principles and techniques.

  • Desirable Experience

️ Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure or complex projects.

  • ️ Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated industries.

Experience integrating risk with cost and schedule information.

Experience supporting risk workshops and scenario modelling.

Experience working with contractors and supply chains.

Experience producing risk information for reviews, forecasting and decision-making.

Desirable Qualifications

APM Project Risk Management or equivalent.

MoR Practitioner or equivalent risk qualification.

Relevant project controls or project management qualification.

Membership of a relevant professional body.
