About Us

Inventis Website Design is a busy and growing website design company based in Blackpool, specialising in websites for SMEs across the UK.

We build the majority of our websites using WordPress and Elementor, allowing us to create professional, bespoke websites efficiently while maintaining a high standard of design.

Due to an increased demand for our services, we are looking for a part-time Website Designer to join our team and help support our current workload.

This is initially a temporary, in-house position, with the potential for ongoing work or a permanent role if demand continues.

The Role

We are looking for a creative and reliable Website Designer with experience using WordPress and Elementor.

The role could suit:

  • A junior Website Designer looking to gain agency experience
  • An experienced designer looking for part-time work
  • A freelancer with availability during the working week
  • A self-taught designer with a strong portfolio and practical WordPress experience

You will work directly on real client projects, building new websites and helping make updates and improvements to existing sites.

You will be working alongside our existing team from our Blackpool office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and customise websites using WordPress and Elementor
  • Create attractive, professional page layouts
  • Ensure websites are responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Add and format website content
  • Follow basic on-page SEO best practices
  • Create and edit website graphics and imagery using Adobe Photoshop
  • Make updates and amendments to existing client websites
  • Follow supplied briefs and existing design styles
  • Test websites before launch
  • Troubleshoot basic WordPress and Elementor issues

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have:

  • Good working knowledge of WordPress
  • Experience using Elementor
  • A good eye for website design, spacing, typography and layout
  • An understanding of responsive website design
  • Basic knowledge of on-page SEO
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop or similar image editing software
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to follow a brief and work independently
  • Good communication and time management skills

Previous agency experience is useful but not essential. We are happy to consider junior designers who can demonstrate a good standard of work.

Examples of previous website design work will be required.

Location

This is an in-house position based at our Blackpool office.

Please note that this is not a remote working position, so applicants should live within a reasonable travelling distance of Blackpool.
