Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Microsoft 365 technical lead to drive the organisation's AI enablement, Power Platform adoption and SharePoint transformation within a large enterprise environment.

The role will focus on securely enabling Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and AI-powered workflows, while maximizing the value of SharePoint Online, Power Platform and Microsoft 365 as the organisation's core collaboration, automation and information platform.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to define and implement AI, automation, content and collaboration strategies across the Microsoft ecosystem.

This is a technical leadership role, but the expectation is that the successful candidate will remain hands-on, designing, configuring and implementing solutions across Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint and Microsoft 365.

Key ResponsibilitiesAI Enablement & Copilot

• Lead the secure rollout and adoption of Microsoft Copilot across the organisation
• Define the technical strategy for Copilot, Copilot Studio and AI agents
• Identify and deliver high-value AI use cases and automation opportunities
• Build AI-powered workflows that integrate with Microsoft 365 and enterprise systems
• Establish governance, security and responsible AI guardrails
• Ensure Copilot and AI solutions have appropriate access to organisational data
• Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve productivity through AI
• Support the development of an enterprise-wide AI enablement roadmap

Power Platform & Automation

• Lead the adoption and governance of Microsoft Power Platform
• Design and implement solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps and Copilot Studio
• Build automated workflows across Microsoft 365 and enterprise applications
• Develop secure integrations using Microsoft Graph and APIs
• Establish Power Platform environment, connector and application governance
• Define standards for solution architecture, security and lifecycle management
• Identify opportunities to replace manual processes with automation and AI-driven workflows
• Support engineering and business teams in developing scalable Power Platform solutions

SharePoint Online & Information Management

• Lead the technical strategy and optimisation of SharePoint Online
• Design modern SharePoint information architectures, sites and content structures
• Improve document management, collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Establish governance around SharePoint sites, Teams, permissions and external sharing
• Implement appropriate information architecture, metadata and content classification
• Support the use of SharePoint as a trusted knowledge source for Microsoft Copilot and AI agents
• Identify and remediate data oversharing, poor permissions and unmanaged content
• Define lifecycle management for SharePoint sites, content and Microsoft 365 Groups

Microsoft 365 Security & Governance

• Ensure AI, SharePoint and Power Platform solutions align with enterprise security requirements
• Implement and manage Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access and identity governance
• Design and implement Microsoft Purview controls including:
• Sensitivity labels
• Data Loss Prevention
• Retention policies
• Information protection
• Data classification
• Ensure appropriate governance of Microsoft 365 data accessed by AI and automation
• Work with security teams to monitor and mitigate data exposure and oversharing risks
• Apply Zero Trust principles across Microsoft 365 services

Intelligent Workflows & Integration

• Design end-to-end AI-enabled business processes
• Integrate Microsoft 365 with enterprise applications and data sources
• Use Microsoft Graph, Power Automate and APIs to create intelligent workflows
• Explore opportunities for AI agents to automate repetitive business processes
• Establish patterns for secure integration between Copilot, Power Platform, SharePoint and enterprise systems

Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the technical authority for Microsoft 365 AI and Power Platform enablement
• Work closely with security, architecture, infrastructure and engineering teams
• Translate business requirements into scalable Microsoft solutions
• Define technical standards and governance frameworks
• Guide engineering and business teams on AI, Power Platform and SharePoint best practices
• Communicate technical concepts and AI opportunities to senior stakeholders
• Help establish an enterprise roadmap for Microsoft 365, AI and automation

Required Experience

• Extensive experience working with enterprise Microsoft 365 environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio
• Proven experience delivering Power Platform solutions, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps
• Strong SharePoint Online architecture, governance and implementation experience
• Experience designing and implementing AI-enabled business processes
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 data governance and information architecture
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, particularly DLP, sensitivity labels and information protection
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 security
• Experience integrating Microsoft 365 with enterprise applications using Microsoft Graph and APIs
• Ability to operate at both technical architecture and hands-on implementation level
