Location: Eastleigh, Bristol, York, London
Inside / Outside IR35: Inside IR35
Duration: 6 Month Contract
A bit about the job:
We are looking for an experienced Transformation Migration Lead to join Health Evolution (HEVO), a major transformation programme delivering a modern Salesforce-enabled platform for the Health business. This is a critical leadership role responsible for defining and delivering the end-to-end migration strategy that will enable the successful transition from a complex legacy estate of systems, data, processes and operational workarounds onto a new platform. The role sits at the heart of a multi-year transformation and will play a key role in ensuring migration activities are delivered in a controlled, efficient and low-risk manner. Working across business and technology teams, you will shape the migration approach, establish governance and controls, and ensure operational readiness while balancing programme pace, customer impact, regulatory requirements and long-term simplification objectives. Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and leading the end-to-end migration strategy covering systems, data, processes, customers, policies and legacy decommissioning activities.
- Defining migration principles, guardrails and decision-making frameworks that balance risk, value and operational impact.
- Creating and maintaining migration roadmaps aligned to Salesforce delivery, programme releases and benefits realisation milestones.
- Leading detailed release and cutover planning, including migration sequencing, readiness criteria, reconciliations, rollback plans and post-migration support.
- Partnering with Architecture, Data, Technology, Operations, Product and Business Readiness teams to deliver robust migration plans.
- Establishing effective migration governance, reporting, dependency management, risk management and escalation processes.
- Ensuring data migration activities are underpinned by strong controls covering data quality, mapping, cleansing, validation and auditability.
- Driving the approach to legacy process and system retirement, reducing operational complexity and avoiding unnecessary dual running.
- Leading migration rehearsals, readiness assessments and cutover activities to ensure successful delivery.
- Working closely with change, adoption and operational teams to prepare colleagues, customers, brokers and partners for transition.
- Providing clear reporting and insights on migration readiness, progress, risks, dependencies and confidence levels.
- Bringing industry expertise and lessons learned to help the programme avoid common migration challenges and delivery risks.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Proven experience leading large-scale business, data and technology migrations within complex transformation programmes.
- Strong track record of migrating legacy environments onto modern platforms, ideally Salesforce or comparable SaaS, CRM or policy administration platforms.
- Experience operating within regulated industries, ideally insurance, financial services or health-related sectors.
- Strong understanding of migration strategy, cutover planning, coexistence models, operational readiness and legacy decommissioning.
- Experience managing complex data migration activities, including data quality, cleansing, mapping, validation, testing and reconciliation.
- Ability to translate technical migration challenges into practical business decisions, plans and outcomes.
- Strong programme delivery skills including governance, planning, risk management, dependency management and executive reporting.
- Experience working within agile, phased or release-based transformation delivery models.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders across business, technology, operations, risk and partner organisations.
- Strong problem-solving capability with the confidence to challenge assumptions and drive effective decision making.
- Commercial and operational awareness, ensuring migration decisions support both programme benefits and long-term business outcomes.
- Experience delivering within complex, high-risk or transformation recovery environments would be highly advantageous.
