B2B SaaS Content Writer at FileSpin, United Kingdom, £Freelance Rate

Contract Description

About FileSpin

FileSpin is an AI-native media operations platform (http://filespin.io) that manages the full lifecycle of digital assets — from ingestion and organization to transformation, delivery, and analytics. It combines traditional digital asset management with AI agents that let teams automate complex, multi-step media workflows through plain-language prompts, alongside dynamic image and video transformations (resizing, background removal, transcoding), a global CDN spanning 160+ edge locations, branded sharing and approval pages for stakeholders, and enterprise-grade security (RBAC, audit trails, encryption). It's aimed at organizations running media operations at scale — e-commerce, marketing teams, event organizers, and enterprises — that need to manage, transform, and deliver images and video efficiently across their existing DAM, PIM, and CDN systems.

The role

We're looking for a freelance B2B SaaS content writer who can turn a complex media-infrastructure product into clear, credible, useful content for a technical audience. This is not a generic B2B content role — you'll be writing for developers and enterprise buyers who can smell fluff instantly, so accuracy and genuine understanding matter more than polish.

The first priority is product-comparison articles (FileSpin vs. other DAM / image / media platforms) and solutions pages (aimed at specific industries and use cases), followed by a regular cadence of blog posts and supporting content.

What you'll write

  • Comparison articles
  • Solutions pages - audience- or use-case-specific pages
  • Blog posts — technical explainers, product-led education, and thought leadership for developers and media/ops teams.

Responsibilities

  • Research the product, the competitive landscape, and the audience deeply enough to write with authority.
  • Produce accurate first drafts, then revise against editorial and factual feedback.
  • Keep to a regular publishing cadence without sacrificing quality.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and follow the what we never say guardrails.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience writing B2B SaaS content for a technical audience — ideally comparison articles, product/solutions pages, or developer-focused, or similar. (Portfolio required.)
  • Ability to genuinely understand a technical product — you can read API docs, grasp how a platform works, and explain it without hand-waving.
  • Strong research skills and intellectual honesty — especially for comparison content, where fairness is the whole point.
  • Clear, structured writing; comfort working from templates and briefs rather than needing everything from scratch.
  • Self-directed and reliable on deadlines.
  • Familiarity with DAM, image/video processing, CDNs, or media workflows.
  • SEO fundamentals (search intent, on-page structure) without keyword-stuffing.
  • A point of view on writing with AI tools as a drafting aid while keeping the work accurate and human.

To apply

Send your portfolio with 2–3 samples of technical writing for a technical audience (comparison articles, product/solutions pages, or developer-focused posts are ideal). In a few sentences, tell us about a technical product you've written about and how you got up to speed on it.
