World Wide Technology (WWT) is looking for an experienced Network Lead to lead network lifecycle management and operations within a large, complex enterprise environment
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise across data centre (DC) networks, firewalls, and F5 within secure environments, along with the ability to execute a large backlog of changes efficiently and reliably.

Network Lead
Contract Duration: 6 months contract
Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid – 3 days a week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead lifecycle management, operations, and deployment of enterprise network infrastructure, including data centre (DC) networks and secure network environments.
- Execute and clear a large backlog of network changes at pace, without compromising stability or quality.
- Manage and support firewall and F5 (load balancer) infrastructure across the estate.
- Drive large-scale network transformation and improvement programs across global or regional environments.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align network delivery with organizational priorities.
- Evaluate and implement automation solutions to improve network operations and change delivery efficiency.
- Provide leadership and direction to network operations and engineering teams, including third-party/vendor management.
- Use data and analytics tools to monitor performance, capacity, and change delivery metrics, and report findings to leadership.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and operations, ideally within financial services or another regulated, high-availability industry.
- Proven ability to execute and clear a large backlog of network changes at pace.
- Strong hands-on experience with data centre (DC) networks, firewalls, and F5 in secure environments.
- Proven experience leading global or regional network operations and deployment teams.
- Hands-on proficiency with data analysis and monitoring tools such as Tableau, SQL, and Splunk.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to and advising senior leadership.
- Familiarity with ITIL 4 service management practices.
- Interest or experience in applying automation to network operations use cases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- Corvil Certified Administrator (or equivalent network performance monitoring certification)
- Microsoft Certified Professional – Server
- ITIL 4 Foundation or higher
