The Role

Working alongside our Head of Development and wider technical team, you'll be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from solution design through to deployment and ongoing improvements.

You'll contribute to both new product development and enhancements to existing systems, helping to deliver reliable, scalable applications that support the continued growth of the business.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain .NET applications.
• Develop new features and enhance existing business systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define technical solutions.
• Optimise application performance and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server databases.
• Participate in code reviews and share technical knowledge with the wider team.
• Follow development best practices, source control, and testing procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' commercial experience with ASP.NET /.NET Core.
• Strong C# and MVC development experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server using SSMS.
• Strong understanding of:
• Entity Framework
• LINQ
• Web API
• JavaScript
• HTML & CSS
• Experience using version control systems (Git/Azure DevOps or similar).
• Experience with automated builds and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Umbraco or other CMS platforms.
• Azure experience.
• DevOps experience.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
