Service Architect at National Savings & Investments, Glasgow/Remote, 6 Months, £Contract Rate

As a Service Architect, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Establish and govern the organisation 's service taxonomy framework.
  • Develop and maintain hierarchical service structures across business services, capabilities, service offerings and applications.
  • Develop Service Design Packages and associated documentation.
  • Define service models, SLAs, support arrangements and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to incorporate service requirements into solution designs.
  • Support service readiness assessments and governance reviews.
  • Participate in design assurance and quality gate activities.
  • Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Influence teams to adopt service-oriented practices and ways of working.

 

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Service Architect within large, complex organisations.
  • Experience establishing Service Architecture as a recognised discipline.
  • Strong service design and service implementation background.
  • Demonstrable experience defining service taxonomy and classification frameworks.
  • Experience creating Service Design Packages and Service Design Documents.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL v3 and/or ITIL 4.
