Senior Software Engineer - 6 month Contract - Inside IR35

This role is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week onsite in Glasgow offices.

The Role

Were seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, architect, and deliver enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications using Java, Python, and modern frameworks. You'll work in a remote-first environment with occasional client site visits, leading technical delivery, shaping architecture decisions, and mentoring engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions that meet both client and business needs.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with React.js, JavaScript
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern UI frameworks
• Experience with React Hooks and state management (Redux/Context API)
• Experience building enterprise web applications and self-service portals
• Strong API integration experience (REST, GraphQL)
• Experience with authentication and authorization patterns (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, RBAC/ABAC)
• Knowledge of Git, Agile/Scrum delivery, and software engineering best practices
• Experience with automated testing

Preferred Skills

• AWS services (EKS, API Gateway, Lambda, S3)
• Micro-frontend architecture
• CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development
• Experience building workflow, approval, or access management applications
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts
• Experience integrating with enterprise platforms and APIs
• Observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry)
