Java Developer at Pixelcode Technologies, London Area, £Contract Rate

We are looking for multiple Java Developer to join our Agile engineering team building modern cloud-native digital platforms and APIs. The successful candidate will have strong Java/JVM development experience, knowledge of microservices and REST APIs, experience with cloud technologies and CI/CD, and a passion for delivering high-quality software using modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development.

Key Skills:-

• 3–8 years' commercial experience in Java software development.
• Develop and maintain Java/Kotlin applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Deliver software across the full SDLC from design through production support.
• Work on greenfield and existing enterprise applications in an Agile environment.
• Strong Java/JVM skills with exposure to Kotlin and Spring Boot/Ktor frameworks.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and modern database design.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, and cloud-native architectures.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Git workflows.
• Write high-quality, testable code with unit and integration testing practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and solution architecture.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Use AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Devin to improve productivity while validating AI-generated code.
• Experience with Git, Jira, Scrum, and modern Agile software delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and continuous learning mindset.
