Contract Opportunity - Up to 18 Months

Hybrid Working | Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol or other National Highways offices

 

National Highways is seeking a Service Delivery Manager to join its Digital Services function during an exciting period of transformation. As digital services continue to transition into a centralised operating model, this role will play a pivotal part in managing contracts, suppliers, governance and stakeholder relationships that support critical digital services across the organisation.

 

The Role

Working within the Digital Services Contract Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that digital service contracts are effectively managed, suppliers are performing against agreed commitments, and stakeholders receive the support and service delivery they require.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing supplier and contract relationships across Digital Services.
  • Monitoring contract expenditure, consumption and forecasting against agreed budgets.
  • Producing and maintaining reporting data, trackers and management information.
  • Supporting governance and approval processes to ensure compliance and value for money.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and coordinate service delivery activities.
  • Managing contract variations, additional services and associated approvals.
  • Resolving issues and removing blockers to ensure services and projects can be delivered successfully.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and delivery partners to mobilise resources and support critical business needs.
  • Supporting procurement and tender activities where required.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of contract and service management processes.

 

Essential Experience

  • Contract management and supplier relationship management.
  • Stakeholder engagement across multiple business areas.
  • Commercial and financial management.
  • Governance, compliance and assurance processes.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.

 

Desirable Experience

  • Procurement or tender management experience.
  • Experience working within digital, IT, infrastructure, utilities, highways, construction or public sector environments.
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles.
  • Membership or qualifications relating to procurement, commercial management or CIPS.
  • Project management experience or exposure to project delivery frameworks.
  • Experience working with reporting tools such as Power BI

 

Contract: This opportunity is offered on an inside IR35 contract basis, with an initial assignment of up to 18 months.
