The Role
We are looking for an experienced Java Developers to work in the Technology and Transformation Team at Deloitte. You will support the FX trading platforms with one of our global financial services clients. This position requires Java server-side development with FX experience within Financial Services sector, excellent communication skills combined with the tech listed below.
Essential skill and experience
- Highly technical with strong Java server-side development experience.
- Must have FX experience within Financial Services sector. Have pricing or algo-trading experience in any asset class
- Have full technology stack knowledge of Java, Linux and networks.
- Have excellent communication skills to face off to tech management, Quantitative Strategies Group and trading desk.
- Full SDLC experience, Git, Jenkins, Ansible etc.
- Advanced programming skills including understanding of algorithms and data structures, design patterns, multi-threading.
- Experience in 3rd line production support
- Have a degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant analytical degree.
- Be a strong team player
- KDB / Q experience (Desirable)
Deliverables: Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance server-side Java solutions for our algorithmic trading platforms.
- Engage with the full technology stack, from core Java development to Linux and network optimizations, ensuring seamless end-to-end performance.
- Provide 3rd line production support to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of our trading systems.
- Work in close collaboration with the Quantitative Strategies Group and trading desk to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), utilizing tools such as Git for version control, Jenkins for continuous integration, and Ansible for deployment automation.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts and project status to technology management and other stakeholders.
