On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer for a 12 month (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Blackpool or Birmingham.
The team requires an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong backend engineering background to support current and future service demand. The role will complement existing capacity for day-to-day delivery and operational support while helping to modernise and enhance the Attendance Allowance service.
Core Purpose
The Attendance Allowance service has a delivery dependency on a wider Service Modernisation programme, requiring continued enhancement of the user journey while maintaining a stable and reliable service. Alongside delivering new features, the team is managing a range of competing priorities including technical debt remediation, ongoing service maintenance and support, GitLab migration activities, CI/CD pipeline improvements, dependency management and upgrades, peer code reviews and engineering best practice initiatives.
The team also collaborates closely to resolve critical issues through Agile swarming and contributes to wider technical and architectural improvements across the service. As a result, additional engineering capability is required to sustain delivery, protect service stability and support the long-term health and evolution of the Attendance Allowance service.
