On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst X2 (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month contract based Hybrid in either London, Milton Keynes or Glasgow office.

DV Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 


As a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support the department's cyber security and resilience objectives by delivering high-quality, timely, relevant and actionable cyber threat intelligence to several key strategic and operational stakeholders.
  • Close working with key cyber defenders and other security professionals to ensure intelligence outputs are relevant and clearly aligned to departmental priorities.
  • Lead effective stakeholder engagement, translating stakeholder needs for CTI (across strategic and operational teams) into clear actions and deliverables whilst managing competing priorities.
  • Apply the full intelligence lifecycle to deliver accurate, well-evidenced cyber threat intelligence in support of departmental cyber defence activities.
  • Work closely with Detection Engineers, Threat Hunters, Platform Engineers, Security Engineers, SoC analysts, Incident Management. Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships with these teams


Essential:

  • Familiarity with cyber threat frameworks - for example, MITRE ATT&CK, Diamond Model, and the Intelligence Cycle
  • Experience using open-source and commercial research methods, threat intelligence platforms or security tooling.
  • Experience of working in an intelligence role, with practical application of the intelligence lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable analytical capability, including the ability to identify patterns and produce balanced, evidenced judgements.
  • Experience researching, analysing and reporting on cyber threats or related security issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills with experience presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences and writing technical, operational and strategic cyber threat Intelligence reports.
  • DV Clearance is required for this position.


Desirable:

  • Experience working in a cyber security, security operations, or incident response environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or training in intelligence analysis or cyber security.
