Infrastructure Engineer at Whitebridge Group, United Kingdom, 6 Months, £500-£700 per day

Whitebridge is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in enterprise scale environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer within a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong experience across Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience supporting core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V).
• Experience supporting infrastructure monitoring tools (eg SCOM, SolarWinds, Splunk or similar).
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions (eg Rubrik and/or NetBackup).
• Experience supporting infrastructure services across both BAU and project-based delivery.
• Good Scripting ability (eg PowerShell, Bash, or similar) to support automation and operational efficiency.
• Good understanding of infrastructure security principles and interaction with security tooling.
• Good understanding of database platforms and their infrastructure dependencies.
• Strong documentation skills, with experience capturing as-is environments and producing clear, structured technical documentation.
• Ability to work effectively during transition and change programmes, including engagement with third-party suppliers.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with Citrix environments, CyberArk (or similar privileged access management tooling), and SCCM or equivalent endpoint management platforms would be advantageous.
• Experience working within large, regulated, or critical national infrastructure environments is beneficial.
• Experience supporting hybrid on-premises and cloud-based environments is beneficial.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes and formal change control frameworks is desirable.
