Overview
Experienced Data Professional to lead the data team on a complex transformation that includes a broad scope SAP S/4 greenfield implementation alongside the implementation and migration of other solutions including Coupa, Teamcenter and Salesforce. As the lead of the Deloitte data team, you will play a crucial role in delivering this complex data migration as part of this programme. This position demands a balanced blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong project delivery capabilities. You will be responsible for contributing to the end-to-end lifecycle for this programme, ensuring alignment with organisational data governance principles and objectives.
You will guide cross-functional teams, ensuring successful project delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
The role requires an experienced, capable leader who is able to work with the Deloitte onshore and offshore teams, plus the client.
• Project Delivery & Leadership: Lead and manage the data migration teams on this data migration programme, ensuring successful delivery within quality and timeline.
• Solution Design: Contribute to the design of data migration plans - including timing, rehearsals and reconciliation. Ensuring alignment with business needs, best practices, and technical standards.
• Data Migration Expertise: Apply knowledge of data migration (including SAP S/4HANA data migration) strategies and methodologies.
• Technical Execution: Oversee and execute data cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading activities using various technical tools.
• Tool Proficiency: Utilise and provide expertise in data migration tools (for example, SAP BODS, SAP Information Steward, and the SAP Data Migration Cockpit).
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand and analyse requirements related to data conversion, data cleanse and reconciliation.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and implement comprehensive testing and reconciliation strategies for data migration.
• Innovation: Explore and apply knowledge of how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) can enhance data cleansing, validation, and overall data quality processes within programme migrations.
• Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and knowledge transfer to client teams on data migration processes, best practices, and maintenance procedures
Skill Requirements - Essentials
To be successful in this role, it is essential to demonstrate the following competencies:
• Proven hands-on experience in delivering multiple SAP S/4HANA data migration projects.
• Demonstrable experience across greenfield S/4HANA data migration scenarios.
• Proficiency in other data migration tools such as SAP BODS, SAP Information Steward, and hyperscaler tools.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA data objects, specifically Material, Customer, Vendor, Financials data domains, Manufacturing & EAM master data objects.
• Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, data governance principles, and best practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in data migration strategies and methodologies, including data cleansing, transformation, and validation.
• Knowledge of how AI and Machine Learning can assist with data cleanse and validation processes.
• Ability to analyse complex business requirements and propose fit-to-standard solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
