Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to provide technical assistance and support to our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and software applications across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to computer hardware components, network devices, and other IT equipment.
- Assist users with software troubleshooting, including Microsoft Office applications, VPN connectivity, firewall configurations, and other enterprise tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira.
- Maintain and support network infrastructure including LAN setup, configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory and other relevant systems.
- Document support requests and resolutions accurately using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Ensure security protocols are followed by assisting with VPN access management and firewall settings.
- Conduct routine system updates, backups, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide training or guidance to users on new technologies or software tools as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with a solid understanding of computer networking concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network environments (LAN).
- Familiarity with enterprise management tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira is desirable.
- Knowledge of security protocols including VPNs and firewalls is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and general familiarity with operating systems’ configuration and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £15.00-£27.00 per hour
